The club was an affiliate of the Idaho Wildlife Federation. Eventually Fred became President of the Idaho Wildlife Federation for two years. He has served as an Idaho Fish and Game Commissioner for 11 years. He is a lifetime member of the Boise Valley Fly Fishermen and a current member of the Gem State Fly Fishers.
