Fly Fishing the Sea of Cortez – Chapter members Rick Prange and Bill Hagdorn will present a slide program at the March 9 meeting of the Ted Trueblood Chapter on their experiences, adventures and journeys fishing the Sea of Cortez in Baja California Sur. They have visited southern Baja over the past 25 years – making numerous trips to fly fish its fantastic waters for open ocean pelagic species like hard fighting dorado, tuna, skipjack, and billfish plus a variety of near shore fish including roosterfish.

Bill was a property owner there for a while and he and his wife Sandy, spent their winters in Los Barriles on the beautiful East Cape. This program will expose you to the Baja country, places to fish, fishing strategies, tackle and end with a focus on fishing in the Loreto area. It could make you want to visit for yourself.

As usual, we will be meeting at the MK Nature Center, behind the IDFG Headquarters Office, 600 South Walnut. A fly tying session begins at 6:30 pm with the regular meeting/program beginning at 7:30. Hope to see you there.
