Mr. Jones,

I am the individual who talked to you over the phone about PHW. I was wondering what time Tuesday the casting instruction will be on the VA lawn.

Thank you! Brandon Woodard

Hi, We're preparing for our overnight trip to the Big Wood River with ten veterans from the VA. The reports are the Big Wood is fishing good but not great now but will get better as the weather cools. A pro from Sun Valley has provided us a list of flys that should improve our catch rate. We'll stay at the Hayspur Hatchery. This provides us with two nice advantages. One is we have a stocked pond were the vets can fish anytime and we can work with beginners who will likely catch a fish or two. The other is the drive to the Big Wood will be a great opportunity to get to know the vets. Check out your schedule. Please let Kelly (cc'd on this email) and I know if you can attend. Also keep in mind our Sept 22nd wading trip to the Owyhee.

Welcome to the 2013 fishing season! It's just about to kick off spring fishing.

This year we've changed our focus a little bit. The theme to this years schedule is getting veterans started fly fishing on their own by showing them the fishing available in our local waters. We'll have more small trips this year.

Take a look at your summer schedule and block out of couple of dates to go fishing with our Project Healing Waters veterans.

2013 SCHEDULE.

April 27th. Local bass lake. There's room for 50 people. Float tubes, pontoon boats, drift boats or bank fishing. The word is there are lots of bass in the 4 to 5 lb range.

May 18th, day trip to Camas Resevoir.

July 11, evening bass fishing on the Snake below Swan Falls.

July 25, evening bass fishing on the Snake below Swan Falls.

Aug 16 & 17, overnight trip to the NF of Boise, stay at Deer Park G.S. Feel free to come up on Friday the 15th.

October, a couple of short trips fishing the the Boise River in Boise.

Nov - Dec. Fly tying class, four sessions.

As with all schedules, more details will be forthcoming.

Pick an event to volunteers to fish with a vet and let us know the dates that work for you.

Hi, First, thanks to Walt Poole for reserving us a location on very short notice.

Walt reserved the MK Nature Center for us to tie some bass flys for the April 27th Big Bass Derby. We have space for 15 tiers to join us to tie some big ugly delicious looking bass flys.

We will also have some of the veterans who have been attending our fly tying classes join us.

Please grab your vise / materials and join us. The MK Nature Center. We have it from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday, 25 April. Please let us know if you can attend.
