On July 22 &23, 2006, the Ted Trueblood Chapter will host a Middle Frok Celebration. This is a weekend outing to the Middle Fork of the Boise River. We'll host some activities, give away some door prizes, do some fishing, and eat some good BBQ (hosted by TU). The precise location is yet to be determined (I'm doing some scouting this weekend), but will be posted in this location ASAP.

We need to know if you're coming, so if you are please RSVP to MiddleForkTU@hotmail.com

We've confirmed this event, here is the full announcement which includes directions:

A Middle Fork Celebration

Come Celebrate the Boise River, and its Middle Fork!

The Boise River is facing threats from mining, road building, and water development as never before. Join the Ted Trueblood Chapter of Trout Unlimited for A Middle Fork Celebration, a weekend of camping, fishing, and sharing with other Anglers what makes the Middle Fork such a special place, and what we can do to keep it that way.

Jul 22 & 23, 2006 The Dutch Creek Forest Station (15 miles West of Atlanta on the Middle Fork of the Boise River)

Enjoy a TU-Hosted BBQ on Saturday Night along with a short program on the Middle Fork, and what we can all do to celebrate this great river. Door Prizes, BBQ, a chance to help a great river, and fishing for native redbands, all in a single weekend.

Directions: Follow Idaho Route 21 through Idaho City and over More’s Summit; turn right on the Crooked River Road, Forest Road 384; follow that road to the North Fork of the Boise, Forest Road 327, turn left or upstream; stay on the North Fork Road as it follows Swanholm Creek to the Middle Fork Road (FS 268); turn right on the Middle Fork Road, and the Dutch Creek Forest Station is approximately one mile downstream of Swanholm Creek, and 28 miles from Route 21.

So that we can plan the BBQ, please RSVP to MiddleForkTU@hotmail.com
